The business quickly became sucessful, and in 1952 Uichi Yuki founded Yuatukiki Kenkyuusho as a purely hydraulic equipment manufacturer. Four years later in 1956 Yuatukiki Kenkyuusho was reorganised into Yuken Kogyo Co., Ltd. with a running capital of €45,800. In 1960 the Yuken Fujisawa factory was built in the Kanagawa Prefecture and only four years later in 1964 the head office of the company was moved to that location.

With growing demand for Yuken components, the Taiwan Hydraulics Manufacturing Company (later to be renamed Taiwan Yuken) was opening 1969. Only a year later in 1970, the Research and Development Centre was opened in the Kanagawa Prefecture with the Sagami factory opening shortly after in the same area.

Between 1976 and 1980, the Yuken company expanded into new areas of the world, such as Yuken India Ltd a joint venture in 1976, Yuken Kogyo (Hong Kong) Ltd in 1978 and finally Yuken (U.K.) Ltd in mid-1980.

A large hydraulics system works was put into operation in the Sagami factory in 1984 to cope with the much increased demand for components, with the No. 1 Component Assembly Centre coming on-line two years later in 1986.

Another joint venture in Yuci Yuken Hydraulics Co., Ltd was opened in China in 1992, further increasing the distribution range of Yuken products. Additionally in 1996, the Yuken company attained ISO 9001 Accreditation for its products.

2001 saw the opening of the latest Yuken venture, Yuken Hydraulics (D.G.) Co., Ltd, expanding further into the growing Chinese markets.
